TANZANIA WILDLIFE SAFARI
In February of 2011, a select group of Mel Wichter’s friends will spend 12 days on safari in the finest wildlife country on earth, the great game parks of northern Tanzania. We’ll tour the Serengeti, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater, and Tarangire, names that evoke the exotic thrill of a classic East African safari. Our main objective will be to view as many animals of as many species as possible, and to do so in comfort and style. We will travel in new 4 x 4 Land Cruisers driven by top game scouts and guides who know all the secret spots for the best wildlife viewing. We’ll stay in lovely camps and lodges in the heart of the bush where animals often graze right outside our doors. Some of the finest chefs in Africa will prepare our meals. We’ll be up early for a sunrise drive into the bush to see the early morning activities of the wildlife. Sometimes we’ll stay out all day, other days we’ll return to the lodge for a mid-day rest before heading out again in the later afternoon. In the evening we’ll locate the finest view of the sunset for our final wildlife panorama of the day. Each camp and lodge has been selected for its charm, ambiance, and location in the bush, and no two are alike. All in all this will be the safari of a lifetime.
